So the holiday season has come and gone. The tree has bit the bucket and left needles all over that carpet that you’ll probably still be finding in July. (No? Just me?) And here’s the big question – What decorations do I put up? I’m a huge grinch and hate leaving Christmas decor up for too long. I also feel a little off putting the mantle back to normal. Here are some great ideas to bridge the gap until spring.
1. Get rid of the red and green – and go for White
I have the hardest times finding the perfect wreath for every season. Over the years, I’ve slowly found most of the perfect set. This one from Wild Ridge Design may have to be my next purchase. The white goes with everything and pulls your home into January. Plus Christi has a great selection of ribbon to choose from.
2. Artic Animals and Faux Fur
I love this selection of faux fur throws from Pottery Barn. So warm and cozy. There is one in just about any nuetral color you could need. I’m loving that gray ombre!
It’s so dark still all the time. Snow, clouds, and no sun here in the Midwest. Adding mirrors in place of your Christmas wall decor will help bounce the little light we do have around and brighten up the house. This rose gold mirror from ILuvBelleArte comes in a bunch of different sizes.
Mermaid pillows are so trendy right now. This gold pillow from Pier 1 totally fits the post-Christmas vibe. Metallics give a shimmery, wintery feel without screaming Ho Ho Ho.
Which trend are you excited about to start 2018 off right? I’m team metallics all the way! Let me know in the comments what you are loving!
