My bathroom drawers were stressful. Seriously. My one goal was to be able to find my lip balm when I needed it and I was failing. My bathroom was just about perfect before our little one was born. Everything was organized. Then it all went downhill from there as things tend to do when you have a baby! I don’t even want to share my “before” photos with you, but here they are…
So much junk! I was subscribed to Ipsy for a while. So I got a lot of makeup that I might use “someday.” There are face masks from last year that I will never have time to sit down and use. And I even found a glue stick! Seriously. Where in the world did that come from?

1. Throw crap away
I seriously just had too much stuff. Old makeup. Old face masks. Makeup colors that I never wear. The first step is having a serious heart-to-heart with yourself about what you use. If you haven’t used it in 6 months…do you really need to keep it? Hint hint…the answer is no! Be really honest with yourself. I also took this opportunity to scrub the drawers as well!
Good news is you really don’t need much! I bought these 12 x 3 inch acrylic trays to organize my make up.
I bought a little different size tray with 3 sections for the other drawer to hold hair supplies, etc.
I also bought some magnets to organize my bobby pins. They are pretty cheap and come in little squares. So you can easily use as many as you need. The extra I put in my little one’s bathroom.
3. Put it all together.
For my makeup drawer, I put everything I use daily on one side and everything else on the other. I had some extra room in the back that I put stuff I only use on special occasions. My day job is a home health physical therapist, so I don’t wear a lot of makeup! This works perfectly for me!
For this side, I was able to organize all of those other little odds and ends.
There you have it! Once you have the supplies that should take you no time at all! I did this all in about 15 minutes. And the best part is that it is super easy to maintain.
If you thought this post was helpful, you are absolutely going to LOVE my 5 day bathroom organization workbook. It takes 10-20 minutes a day and organizes every single space in your bathroom. Shower. Under the sink. Drawers. Counters. Closet. I have some absolutely great finds that really make organizing (and staying organized) a breeze!
